Vietnamese doctors save pregnant woman with kidney transplantation

The 20 year old pregnant woman in Ho Chi Minh City was saved in a surgery at Cho Ray Hospital on October 8. Although doctors warned her not to get pregnant, she had a 3.5 kg boy baby on October 7.

This is a rare case because patients undergoing kidney transplantation must take medicine against graft elimination occurrence, according to Doctor Tran Ngoc Sinh, who heads the Urology Department of the hospital. Hence, pregnancy threatens their lives.
