In visit to the center for the disabled and orphans in Hoc Mon District on June 6, the city’s leader Nguyen Minh Triet said that vocational training should be suitable for the disabled.
Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Minh Triet reminded the center leader that vocational training should be suitable for the disabled in his visit to the vocational center for the disabled and orphans in Hoc Mon District on June 6.

Mr. Triet said that the center should both do farming and feeding animals so that it can enhance meal quality and improve people’s health through physical exercise. He added that the center should actively build up a relationship with manufacturing units where trainees will work after their graduation from vocational training courses.
Mr. Triet lauded teachers’ working without salary and approved HCM City People’s Committee decision that funds the center VND 7 billion from the city’s budget.
The center, located on 2-ha area in Hoc Mon District, has just opened. 80 disabled people and orphans are being taught sewing, making dolls and puppets, wooden pictures, infomation technology and brocade weaving.
The cost of building the center is about VND 20 billion mostly from donation of the benefactors.
