SEOUL, Sept 18, 2009 (AFP) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il Friday met with China's presidential envoy, the South's Yonhap news agency said, as the international community seeks to relaunch nuclear disarmament talks.

State Councillor Dai Bingguo delivered a letter from Chinese President Hu Jintao when the envoy visited Kim, Yonhap said, citing the North's official broadcasting station.

The envoy arrived in Pyongyang Wednesday and held talks with North Korean officials including first vice foreign minister Kang Sok-Chu.
