The agency along with customs divisions in the city are enhancing inspection over imported commodities which are attached with pictures violating Vietnam’s sovereignty. For instance, commodities in containers or package commodities without declaration having map, pictures, and VCDs containing wrong information of the East sea.
Before, the city’s customs department detected Volkswagen cars with illicit ‘nine-dash line’ maps displayed at Vietnam Motor Show at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7.
Soon, other provinces also discovered the same imported cars with illegal ‘nine-dash line’ maps.
Accordingly, the General Department of Vietnam Customs sent a dispatch to its sub-divisions asking to enhance supervision over imported items with illegal pictures violating the country’s sovereignty.
