Two Vietnamese labour export companies penalized for irregularities

The Department for Overseas Workers under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has decided to penalize two Vietnamese labour export companies for violation of labour laws.

Accordingly, Van Hoa H.A.I.P.H.O.N.G Company was penalized VND12.5 million for sending Vietnamese labourers to Macao (China) without registering with concerned state agencies.

Leesco Company located in Thanh Hoa Province was also penalized VND12.5 million for sending Vietnamese labourers to Malaysia without registering with concerned state agencies.

The Leesco Company was also penalized VND20 million for collecting service charges in contravention of labour rules and regulations from 21 labourers wanting to work in Malaysia.

The country has sent over 60,530 Vietnamese labourers to work in other countries this year. Most of them are working in Taiwan (China) , Korea and Malaysia with 23,673 workers, 14,134 workers and 6,664 workers respectively.

The  Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has said 87,000 workers are expected to be sent for work to foreign countries this year.
