A ceremony was held by Ho Chi Minh City Standing Party Committee on May 31 to award the 40-year Party membership badge to Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee.

On behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City Standing Party Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said, "Over 40 years working for the Vietnamese Communist Party, Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet has always completed his duties excellently."
Whatever positions and situations Mr. Triet was in, he always showed his loyalty towards the Vietnamese Communist Party, assumed a great responsibility for his assignments as well as paid much attention to strengthen the internal cooperation, raising a shinning example of moral and faithful Party member, stressed Mr. Hai at the ceremony.
Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee believes that in his new position in the coming time, which requires a heavier responsibility, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet will continue to greatly contribute to the nation’s success, he added.
In a formal and warm atmosphere of the awarding ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet also expressed his appreciation of being awarded the badge and his feelings of 40 years working for the Vietnamese Communist Party.
When recalling his life as member of Communist Party for over 40 years, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet said: "Back at the fierce wartime of Viet Nam, I was arrested and detained by the enemy for questioning. However, my comrades and I managed to escape successfully and then reunited with the country’s revolutionary force."
Mr. Triet also expressed that although he was upset while being rumored about his faith towards the Party by the enemy, he still believed in the wise leadership of the Party.
Every day in over 40 years working in the party, Mr. Triet always told himself that he should not be self-satisfied with his knowledge.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, he also recommended that every Vietnamese must be confident and modest. Dealing with difficulties, we should not wait for instructions from upper levels but be determined to solve the problems promptly, which will showcase our creativity and activeness, according to Mr. Triet.
Additionally, he called for the strong solidarity among the Communist members, which he said must be built in principles and healthy spirit.
He also hoped that all members would substantially contribute to the bigger growth of the Vietnamese Communist Party.
