Australian Philanthropist Supports Poor Inhabitants

An Australian journalist has given his own money to assist some 50 households belonging to members of an ethnic minority in the mountainous district of A Luoi in Thua Thien-Hue Province. The money will be used by the disadvantaged residents for a cattle breeding project.

Bruce Montgomery donated over VND174 million to the project slated for late March through the Central Province’s People’s Committee.
He is also one of the founding members of the Australia-based Viet Nam Association for Agent Orange (AO) Victims, which aims to support poor households affected by the poisonous defoliant in Hue City.
Three years ago, Bruce also presented 30 wheelchairs to the disabled inhabitants of A Luoi District.
