Border guard force takes care of Tet for the poor

The Vietnam Border Guard High Command has launched a program to call for all military units to join hands supporting poor households in border and island areas on Tet holidays.

As planned, the program will offer 10,000 gifts worth VND500,000 of each to disadvantaged families.
In addition, a special art program will be held in Long Sap border gate in Moc Chau District in the northern province of Son La on January 14.

The organization board will hand over Tet gifts to 300 poor households, 1,000 presents to disadvantaged students and grant 50 scholarships.

The art program will be broadcast live on local and Vietnamese Television channels.

General Nguyen Tien Thang, a senior official from the Vietnam Border Guard High Command said that the border guard force hope to bring a warm and happy Tet to the poor in border areas.
