Campaign to help disadvantaged students to be launched

A series of campaigns joining hand for poor children will be launched in the coming weeks, said Ha Thi Khiet, member of the Party Central Committee and head of Public Relations Department on June 30.

A video-conference hand over of the next campaign term was held jointly in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, on June 30.

The conference also launched a program to help disadvantaged children who drop out of school.

Local PR units are to coordinate with governmental departments, organizations and the armed forces to understand to citizens and their concerns, as well as expectations and religious issues.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms Khiet asked provincial and cities’ PR departments to speed up campaigns and be more effective in national and religious events. 

She asked units to check the number of disadvantaged children who drop out of school because their parents cannot afford the fees, as well as prepare locals' workforce to establish committees to support such children during the next school year.
