City’s leaders strengthen dialogue with Japanese investors

The Investment & Trade Promotion Centre of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) and the Japanese Business Association of Ho Chi Minh City (JBAH) co- organized a round table conference between city’s leaders and Japanese investors on November 6.

Deputy Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Thanh Liem, representatives of ITPC, JBAH, departments and agencies in Ho Chi Minh City attended in the conference. 

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Thanh Liem affirmed: “Ho Chi Minh City has a lot of advantages in geographical position, infrastructure, human resource and good service quality thus it has attracted more and more Japanese investors”.

Japan is considered as one of the leading important and long-term development partner of Ho Chi Minh City in various fields.

The sunrise country now is ranked sixth among countries with its 827 projects in the city, reaching at US$ 2. 78 billion. In the first ten months of the year, Japan invested over US$ 84. 33 million in 89 the city’s projects.

Mr. Tsutomu Sakagami, President of Japan Business Association of Ho Chi Minh City appreciated highly the conference and the relationships between city’s leaders and Japanese investors.

According to Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, Japanese Government has had a decision to offer the Oder of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette to Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung, Director of Minh Tran Company and President of Management Committee of Tri Dung Business School.

Nguyen Tri Dung received a PhD degree of Tsukuba University after ten years for studying in Japan who is best known as a founder of Japan Vietnam Network.
