Country Leaders Pay Tribute to Uncle Ho on his 117th Birthday

Government, party leaders and veteran revolutionaries paid tribute to the late President Ho Chi Minh on May 17 to commemorate the anniversary of his 117th birthday.

In the morning, a delegation led by the General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly President Nguyen Phu Trong and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Pham The Duyet, laid wreaths at Uncle Ho’s mausoleum. 
While attending other birthday festivities in the Province of Nghe An later in the day, Party Leader Nong Duc Manh paid a visit to the Kim Lien Vestige Area to burn incense and lay a wreath.

Kim Lien, a large village in the Province’s Nam Dan District, is the paternal homeland of the late President.
