Customs Formalities Simplified For Overseas Vietnamese Back for Tet

Overseas Vietnamese coming back for Tet at Tan Son Nhat Airport

From now to the end of the first quarter of 2007, the Customs Department at the Tan Son Nhat international airport will assign competent officials at customs counters to avoid work congestion because the number of overseas Vietnamese coming back to the country is about 6,000-7,000 a day, even 8,000 at the peak hour, said an official of the department.

In addition, the department along with other agencies has established a team of volunteer youths to provide assistance to Vietnamese expatriates, especially the elderly, the sick, and children.
