A delegation of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups set off on a visit to the Truong Sa (Spratly) Island from Cat Lai Port in District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City yesterday morning.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Navy High Command organized this trip.
During their visit, the delegation will organize music exchange programs with officials, soldiers and people of the islands of Truong Sa and the marine platform DK1. They will also offer presents and gifts of goodwill.
Enroute the delegation will release garlands into the sea to commemorate the heroes who laid down their lives to protect their nation and the sovereignty of the islands.
