Flood damaged railway to resume operation on November 9

The North-South Railway has been damaged by Typhoon Damrey and big flooding in the central region, repair is expected to complete on November 9 to resume the entire route, said Vietnam Railways yesterday.

The worst damaged stretch is from Hao Son station in Phu Yen province to Dai Lanh station in Khanh Hoa province.
Vietnam Railways has mobilized hundreds of workers to repair the eroded rail track. After the route is resumed, trains will be able to travel at five kilometers an hour.
During the repair time, the railway industry will continue organizing transit buses to transport passengers from Hao Son to Dai Lanh.
