The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will review the presence of all foreign workers in the country as well as oversight of this issue by local authorities nationwide.

With more and more foreigners coming into the country looking for jobs, the Government convened a meeting to consider issues concerning investment and business by foreign investors and their employment of foreigners.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung ordered the ministry to review the situation and come up with measures to monitor the situation better to reduce illegal activities.

Some foreigners working in the country have no labor contracts or breach labor regulations.

The ministry can impose penalties on any enterprises and persons found breaching the regulations.
