A delegation from Moscow led by the city’s mayor, Yuri Luzhkov, arrived in Ha Noi Wednesday for a four-day visit.
It met the secretary of Ha Noi Party Committee, Pham Quang Nghi, before holding discussions with the People’s Committee.
The chairman of the committee, Nguyen The Thao, and Mr. Luzhkov expressed happiness at the increasing cultural exchanges between the two countries and promised that the two capital cities would cooperate in the foreseeable future.
They assured that construction of the Ha Noi – Moscow Cultural and Trade Center in Moscow and Moscow House in Ha Noi would go ahead.
Mr. Luzhkov told his host that Moscow is willing to help Ha Noi with urban development.
Mr. Thao accepted the offer, inviting experts from Moscow to advise Ha Noi.
