Lam Dong Preserves Handicrafts Villages

The central highlands province of Lam Dong recently approved a project to preserve and develop handicraft villages for the period 2014-2016.

The province aims to have 39 handicraft villages to eliminate poverty by 2020.

The province will sponsor policies to maintain silver ring handicrafts of Churu indigenous groups in Tu Tra Commune and ceramics and brocade weaving of K’Ho groups in Ka Don and Hiep An communes in Don Duong District.

Other villages specializing in wine production, silk weaving, and flower arts will also receive support to raise tourism revenue.
