Lao Party, State leader wraps up VN visit

Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone, along with his wife and a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State, departed from the central city of Da Nang on August 10, wrapping up a friendly official visit to Vietnam from August 8 -10.

The same day, Sayasone sent a message to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and State President Truong Tan Sang, expressing thanks to leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their warm hospitality and fine sentiments given to the delegation during this visit.

“We firmly believe that the outcomes of this visit will make important contributions to fostering the ever-growing and fruitful traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam,” the message said.

Earlier on the day, the Lao delegation visited the Hoa Tho Garment Corporation in the central city of Da Nang.

Lao Party leader Sayasone said he wished Da Nang city and the corporation would continue developing and contribute to expanding cooperative ties with Lao localities.
