Long An to embark on smart agriculture-industry urban project

In a meeting with experts and investors from South Korea, leaders of the People’s Committee in the Mekong delta province of Long An listened to experience in building smart agriculture-industry urban project.

Chairman of the People’s Committee Tran Van Can highly appreciated South Korean investors and experts’ shared experience in developing smart agriculture – industry.
Moreover, he acknowledged Korean investors’ proposal in building the smart agriculture-industry project on the area of 10,000 hectare as well as adoption of hi-tech.
However, he said that many projects have fallen behind schedule because of investors’ weak capacity and slow compensation causing difficulties for residents affected by the construction project.
Accordingly, Long An authorities will tighten control over project construction procedure. The province authorities will determine to take back projects from incapable investors as per the present regulations.
