Malaysian King wraps up Vietnam visit

Malaysia’s King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah left Hanoi on Mar. 15 concluding his four-day official visit to Vietnam.
During the visit, King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin met with Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and State President Nguyen Minh Triet, and visited places of interest in Hanoi.   
At the meetings, the Vietnamese leaders and the Malaysian King expressed their satisfaction at the fine development of the two countries’ friendship and comprehensive cooperation. They exchanged views on orientations to boost bilateral cooperation in politics, economy, trade, investment, labor, education, tourism, security and defence as well as expanding cooperation to science, technology, agriculture and health care.   
The two sides agreed to maintain cooperation at international and regional forums, especially when Vietnam is expected to assume the ASEAN Presidency in 2010.
