Mekong Delta to build nature resort

Work on the Tay Do Resort, the largest in the Mekong Delta, began in Chau Thanh A District, Hau Giang Province on March 14.

This is the first nature resort in Mekong Delta, which covers an area of 9,000 square meters and will have 50 rooms when it is finished in 2010.

The general director of Tay Do Co., Tran Thi Minh Ha, said that the resort will give priority to the elderly, including mothers of fallen soldiers.

The company also gave hotel vouchers to 20 mothers of fallen soldiers from Hau Giang, Can Tho, An Giang and Soc Trang provinces.

The resort is part of a construction project that costs VND750 billion ($44.7 million) and covers an area of 15 hectares with a supermarket, a three-star hotel, entertainment complex, sports facilities, a rest-home and a resort.
