Mid-Autumn Festival for Disadvantaged Children

1,000 orphans, street and disadvantaged children in HCMC enjoyed a warm mid-autumn festival at Reunification Palace on September 13, organized by HCMC Department of the Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

 

The festival welcomed the presence of Former Vice-President Truong My Hoa, Deputy Chairwomen of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha.

 

Organizing board gave 1,000 gifts worth up to VND 10million and 120 scholarships to orphans, street and disadvantaged children. RASS presented VND 550million to organizing board on this occasion.

 

The same day, children at Social Support Center, located at 463 No Trang Long Str, Binh Thanh Dist received 250 gifts from Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper.

 

In addition, SGGP newspaper also sent VND 17million to Blind People Associations in Long My, Hau Giang, and Tien Giang yesterday.

 

On Mid-Autumn Festival, many other social groups cross over the country are organizing charity activities to disadvantaged children.
