Ministry proposes to assist foreign investors in agricultural field

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has proposed to give foreign direct investment (FDI) firms with incentives and assistances to boost investment in agricultural and rural field.

That was revealed at conference hosted to consult foreign firms about building of decree on preferential policies to foreign investment in the field in Hanoi on Monday.

The ministry’s proposal has been specialized in the decree. For instance, foreign firms would be exempt from business income tax in four years and pay 50 percent of the tax amount in nine following years.

Besides, the ministry has suggested a 15-year land use fee exemption for them.
FDI firms would also be assisted to train human resources and develop social infrastructures in their project area, the ministry proposed.
