The Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Ministers have asked gonernment agencies to check and deal with 178 matters, most of which are related to negative issues, reported by newspapers such as the Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, the People's Army Newspaper, the News Newspaper and the Labor Newspaper.
To date, 41% of the matters have been solved and 59% remained unaccounted for.
According to the Prime Minister’s office, 92% of the matters reflected reality, helping with the gorvernment's management tasks. The number of negative matters reported by newspapers which the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers require inspectors and handling increased 26% from 2004.
Besides, in the fight against corruption, the Government has directed the State’s General Inspector to carry out 18 economic and social investigations, and relevant agencies and departments, in cooperation with authorities at all levels, to inspect and verify 63 other important negative matters.
