Overpass on Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong Expressway Started

The first span of the overpass is being launched.

The first span of the 13-kilometer overpass between Dem Market and Ben Luc Bridge of Long An Province (30km southwest of  Ho Chi Minh City) was officially launched by Thang Long Construction Corporation.

The 10 - meter high overpass with eight lanes will be an important part of the 62-kilometer highway between Ho Chi Minh City and Trung Luong Junction in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang.

It took companies under Ministry of Communications and Transport one year to finish leveling the road surface and erecting the concrete pillars.

The National Highway 1A in the same section between Ho Chi Minh City to West Southern provinces is overloaded. So, the new road is expected to reduce the heavy traffic in this highway.

The cost of site clearing was around VND 800 billion in the total investment capital about VND 6.5 trillion.
