Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Phu Binh made the remark in an interview granted to a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Tokyo.
Ambassador Binh said that during the visit from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, a series of new agreements are expected to be signed.
Binh said that the developing relations between Vietnam and Japan are bringing positive outcomes. The fact that Vietnamese people joined in donation activities to support Japanese people after the earthquake and tsunami victims contributed to further fostering ties between the two countries, creating a new foundation to lift up the relations to a higher level in the future, he added.

According to Binh, the successful implementation of the fourth phase of the Vietnam – Japan Joint Initiative will help Vietnam enhance capability and improve investment environment, thus drawing more investment from Japan and other countries.
He said that the two countries can also cooperate in the fields of education, labour, science – technology and national defence.
