Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism accompanied with the National Cultural Heritage Council celebrated a scientific seminar on Sea Islands culture in Ha Noi on October 16.
The workshop was attended by researchers, experts from agencies, researching centers, cultural management units, universities and students of cultural major.
At the workshop, authorities introduced 38 their memoirs and reported some comments about building, developing and preserving Vietnam’s Sea Islands culture.
Prof. Dr Vu Minh Giang took examples to analyze clearly “Sea Islands culture” concepts such as shipwrecks and things flooded under bottom of the sea in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone were called as Sea Islands culture heritage. Sea Islands cultural heritages not only have scientific, cultural, economic values but also play an important role in affirming the country’s sovereignty.
