Seminar on Preparatory Tasks for 18th Global Summit of Women Takes Place

A seminar to outline preparatory tasks for the organization of the upcoming 18th Global Summit of Women 2008 in Viet Nam was organized in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday. The seminar attracted the participation of nearly 300 women who are entrepreneurs and/or who have important positions in society.

Themed “Women and Asia: Driving Force of the Global Economy,” the 18th Global Summit of Women is viewed as an opportunity for the country to showcase its national image to other countries, to attract foreign investments and tourists, and to introduce the investment and business environment of Viet Nam to foreign investors.

The summit is scheduled to take place June 5-7. Nearly 1,000 delegates will participate from over 100 countries throughout the world.

The summit will not only help Vietnamese businesswomen in general, and particularly in HCMC, to seek new business partners but also to create favorable conditions for the women to exchange business information and experience working with international businesspeople.
