It was accompanied by the editor-in-chief of Ha Noi Moi (New Ha Noi) newspaper, Mr. Ho Quang Loi, and some of his staff.

During the meeting with residents and officials from the local People’s Committee, Mr. Tuyen said he understood the suffering caused to them by the flooding and expressed his sympathies.

He hoped the donation would somewhat help them overcome their difficulties.

Mr. Tuyen and his delegation also called on two families who lost members to the floods. Mr. Tuyen gave each family VND5 million (US$295).

Mr. Do Quang Vu, deputy chairman of the Me Linh District People’s Committee, deeply appreciated SGGP’s gesture.

Very heavy downpours from October 30 to November 3 saw Tien Phong Commune flooded for over a week, causing an estimated damage of VND59 billion (US$3.48 million).
