The tunnel investor, Song Da Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company, is permitted to continue toll charges from 9 p.m. on July 20 after a ten-day break for repair of subsidence spots inside the tunnel as per instruction of the administration.

The 500m long and six lane tunnel across Ngang Mountain Pass in Hoanh Son Mountain was opened for traffic in August 2004. It was invested under BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model at VND150 billion (US$7.08 million). Toll collection will last in 18 years.
