A project to build a 55-km road section linking Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay as part of a North-South Express will start by the fourth quarter of this year.
The first phase, estimated to cost VND9.9 trillion, covers ground-clearance, compensations and resettlement of displaced tenants. It will be carried out by the Viet Nam Express Company, and the People’s Committees of HCM City and Dong Nai.
The investment was raised from Asian Development Bank loans, State budgets and the VEC’s funding.
The project is expected to help boost growth of the southern key economic triangle that combines Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
