According to police, Kim was accused of colluding with reactionary groups abroad to sabotage the Vietnamese State.

Also according to police, the arrest of Trung in HCM City came from statements by Le Cong Dinh and Tran Huynh Duy Thuc, who had earlier been arrested also for acting against the State under Article 88 of Vietnam’s Penal Code, and from documents the security agency has collected.

Police reports said it was Trung who introduced Dinh and Thuc to Nguyen Sy Binh, who lives in the US. The reports added Trung had induced some protestors to join various reactionary organizations.
