US veterans help Quang Tri victims

A delegation of US veterans who fought in the Vietnam War have visited Quang Tri Province to discuss provision of training and credit to people injured by bombs during and after the war and their families.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) delegation, which met the provincial People’s Committee recently, has mobilized US$2.5 million for the victims to carry on mushroom farming.

Part of the profits from exporting mushroom products will be used for defusing unexploded bombs left from the war.

Through a series of outreach programs, the VVMF works to promote healing and educate people about the consequences of the war.
