VFF gives gifts to needy people, AO victims

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF) Tran Thanh Man yesterday led a delegation to gift Phu Quy Charity House, social center and low-income families in the northern province of Bac Giang.

Phu Quy Charity Center, a private facility in Bac Giang Province, was set up by retirees to raise 20 disabled kids who are affected by Orange Agent.
The president affirmed the center establishment is a meaningful deed of people in the country with the Party and the government’s support to heal war wound during 40 years.
With the love and the kindness, miserable lives are brought up in the community’s love and protection.
On the occasion, Mr. Man expected in the next time, the Party, local government and the grass-root fatherland fronts will continue mobile good heart and benefactors in the society to take care of disabled AO kids.
The social center in Bac Giang Province is bringing up 124 senior people, orphans, disabled kids and HIV-infected children.
Presenting gifts to the center, Mr. Man hoped the gifts will make those in the center feel warm on Tet Lunar New Year. 
On the same day, he visited and gave 50 gifts to needy families in Vo Tranh Commune in Luc Nam District, which is one of five most difficult communes of Luc Nam District with many ethnic minority people living in 14 villages.
The proportion of poor families is 38 percent and 52 households in the commune is on the poverty line.
Mr. Man said the local government and VFF should pay more attention to disadvantaged families to help them have a enjoyable Tet holiday ( the Lunar New Year).
