Viet Nam Leaders Meet with Top Korean Legislator

Viet Nam’s Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, President Tran Duc Luong and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai met with the Republic of Korea’s  National Assembly Speaker Kim Won Ki in Ha Noi on January 16. 

Mr. Manh spoke highly of political ties between the two countries, saying that the relationship has paved the way for development in cooperation relations in economy, trade, investment, tourism, cultural exchanges and others.  

The Party leader said he expects the two countries to cooperate better for their comprehensive partnership in the 21st century.

Mr. Kim Won Ki said besides bilateral relations, the two nations should further intensify multilateral ties for the stability of the region and the world.

Before the meeting, Viet Nam’s President Tran Duc Luong and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai held talks with the Korean visitor. The two sides agreed that the two countries need to further boost their multi-faceted relationships, especially in economy, trade and investment.
