Vietnam desires WB to support infrastructure development

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday welcomed Makhter Diop, Vice President of the World Bank (WB) for Infrastructure.

Sharing with the Vietnamese leader, Mr. Makhter Diop said that many countries desired to learn experiences of the Southeast Asian country for its success of transferring from a low-income to a middle-income country, contributing in macroeconomic and social stability.

Currently, Vietnam's demand for infrastructure development and investment is large; therefore, the nation wants to receive WB's assistances in the fields of clean energy such as solar and wind power, infrastructure, electrical energy development, improving regulations for Public–Private Partnership (PPP).
