Vietnamese consulate in Japan opens

On the last day of his official visit to Japan, the Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Consulate in Fukuoka Province April 22.

The opening of the consulate showed the desire and determination of the two countries to further promote cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem said.

The Vietnamese Party Leader also visited a farm in Fukuoka and visited the Kyushu National Museum - the fourth largest of Japan, where a number of objects depicting the diverse cultural lives of the Vietnamese are on display.
