The Viet Nam Environmental Protection Fund plans to spend VND100 billion (US$6.25 million) of its budget for environmental projects in 2006.

The money will be used for the treatment of solid and industrial liquid wastes, the solutions to pollution in craft villages, and clean production. It will also be used to boost society’s contributions to environmental protection.

The fund is promoting co-operation with the World Bank (WB), the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and development agencies of Denmark and Switzerland (DANIDA and SIDA) to raise fund for operation.
