In the framework of the “Project on developing underground water to supply rural areas in some Central Highlands provinces”, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has agreed to provide non-refunded aid of around VND200 billion for the project in the provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai and Dak Lak.

Accordingly, JICA will provide drilling devices, experimental water suction pumps, machines measuring geophysics in borehole and other equipment to construct five the central water-supply systems, supplying clean water to around 45,000 inhabitants in five ethnic minority communes of the said provinces.

The project will be carried out in early 2007.
