The Vietnam Youth Association launched the “When the nation needs” prize award on September 5, for individuals or groups of young Vietnamese men who are conducting programs beneficial to the society and the people.

This prize award is meant to acknowledge and honor the contributions made by young Vietnamese men in resolving the many difficult issues faced by the country.
The prize will be given to programs or plans conducted between 2009 to September 2011 and those that have benefitted a majority of people in the long term.
Individuals under 40 years of age will be given preference, after checking their past track record of achievements and contributions made to the community.
Entries for the prize award can be sent to the organizing committee by September 30. From September 30 to October 10, internet readers can vote for their choice of best entry. Organizers will vote for first prize by ballot vote.
The prize award will be handed out on the anniversary of the association on October 15.
