Cold air to hit northern region in next couple days

A cold air mass is expected to influence in the north, north- central and some places in the mid- central regions in the early morning of February 22, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center yesterday.

Because of its impact, both the northern and north- central regions will experience small rainfalls while the mid- central provinces are predicted to suffer medium- heavy rains on the large scale. 
From February 22, the northeast monsoon is warned to blow at level 2-3 in the mainland, and at level 3-4 in the coastal areas. 

The lowest temperature in the Northern provinces and capital of Hanoi could keep at 14- 17 degrees Celsius, even drop down 9- 13 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas. 
The Gulf of Tonkin, the northern territorial water of the East Sea including the Paracel Islands are warned to see the northeast wind of level 6-9 and sea rough.
