Cold front moving towards northern Vietnam

A cold front is moving southwards and expected to hit northern Vietnam by Monday night, resulting in widespread rain in the northern and central regions.

According to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center, rains will continue throughout the following day.

By early morning Tuesday, weather will turn colder in the northern regions with temperatures dropping to 15-16 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas and 18-20 degrees in the plains.

The Gulf of Tonkin and the northern part of the East Sea will see northeasterly winds progressively intensify to level 6-7 to blow at 39-61 kilometers an hour.
