Cold front triggers rain in HCMC

Under influence of a cold front and a low pressure trough, HCMC and other provinces in the southern region of Vietnam have been cloudy and rainy, reported National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.

From October 22-28, it will be foggy in the early morning, sunny in daytime and showery in late afternoon in some places in the city.
High tide has risen water level in the lower reaches of Mekong and Saigon rivers since October 18. It will reach alarming level 2-3 and exceed alarming level 3 by 0.1-0.3 meters on October 27.
Therefore, tidal flooding will recur in low lying area in HCMC, Vinh Long province and Can Tho city.
