According to Mr. Hai, one or two storms and tropical depressions are expected to take shape on the East Sea and directly affect the central and southern regions of Vietnam.
Provinces located between Thanh Hoa and Binh Thuan Provinces and the Central Highlands might experience 2-3 medium or high floods.
Flood crest is forecast in October in Ha Tinh and Binh Thuan Provinces and the Central Highlands and affecting provinces from Quang Binh to Ninh Thuan in October and November. These areas have been warned to remain vigilant to high flooding.
In the northern region, temperatures will remain a bit higher than normal, making winter this year less cold than in previous years. The first cold spell might occur later than it has in the last few years, usually by end of December.
