Flood tide to reach at 1, 58 meters

The water level at canal systems in Ho Chi Minh City is increasing rapidly, and is forecasted to reach the main alarm level 1 in the upcoming days, reported by the Southern Meteorology and Hydrology Forecast Center on November 6.

The highest flood level at Phu An station on Saigon River will reach 1, 58 meters, meanwhile, water level at Nha Be station on Dong Dien canal will be able to reach at 1, 56 meters on November 8-9.
The Standing Steering Board for Flood and Storms Control and the Search and Rescue Committee has suggested departments, units and local authorities to implement measures to deal with flooding due to heavy rains, flood tide and releasing flood water.

In addition, the People’s Committee of district 12, Thu Duc, Binh Thanh, Cu Chi and Hoc Mon district have also directed functional forces, people consolidate dike systems.
