Several areas in the central highland province of Lam Dong received much awaited rainfall on March 13, which brought respite to this parched and drought hit area.
In Di Linh District the rain lasted for 30 minutes. Le Viet Phu, deputy chairman of the district People’s Committee, said the rain brought much needed relief from scorching dry conditions in the district.
Lac Duong District received rain for one hour. Pham Trieu, deputy chairman of the district People’s Committee, said the downpour was an urgent need that quelled dry conditions across parched plantations and reduced risks of forest fires.
