Low pressure zone moving in from south of East Sea

A low pressure zone moving inland from south of the East Sea accompanied with cold winds resulted in bad weather conditions on September 21, according to the National Hydro-meteorological Forecasting Center.

The low pressure zone is moving in from south of the Hoang Sa Islands. Within the next 24 hours it is expected to turn into a tropical low pressure storm.

Low pressure and cold winds combined brought in heavy rains on the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands and created a rough and choppy sea.

Meanwhile the coastal region from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau will face strong winds of level 5 - 6 with gusts exceeding level 7 accompanied with heavy rain.

Mid-Central and South Central areas from Thanh Hoa to Binh Dinh, and the highland and southern provinces will also see heavy rainfall.
