South to be hot and wet, cold snap in north

Southern Viet Nam including Ho Chi Minh City will be hot and get unseasonable rains in a few days’ time while the north will be hit by an intense cold snap, the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecast said on March 11.

The south will be hot in the mornings and afternoons with temperatures rising to 36 degrees Celsius and get thundershowers in the evening.

The weather bureau warned residents in Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ca Mau, and Kien Giang provinces to look out for violent bouts of thunder.

The north will see temperatures plunge to 12-13 degrees and possible hailstorms.
