Meantime, the northern region has been sunny with common temperatures increasing to 21-23 degrees Celsius. The mercury hovers up to 27-29 degrees in the northwestern provinces of Dien Dien and Lai Chau.
Rain has abated in the central region. Temperatures soar to 25-26 degrees in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh Provinces and 27-29 degrees in provinces between Quang Binh and Thua Thien-Hue.
Da Nang City and the Central Highlands are hotter at 29-31 degrees.
However, the sunny weather will not stay long in the northern region because a new cold wave is about to move in.
