Two cold fronts make their ways to Vietnam

A cold front has moved into northern Vietnam while another is likely to follow on January 5 making the northern and central regions extreme cold in several portions in the next six to eight days.

The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center said that the later cold front will even affect the southern region, making the temperature slide below 21 degree Celsius in Ho Chi Minh City.

Meanwhile, the northern provinces will be benumbed with the mercury plunge to only 0 degree Celsius. Frost is forecast to occur in several areas.

The country waters will continuously experience northeasterly winds at level 6-7 (39-61 kilometers an hour) and gales up to level 8-9 (62-88 kilometers an hour) in the next ten days.

Boat should keep watch of waves up to 3-5 meters.
